Summary
This Registered Nurse/RN provides direct clinical patient care.
The Registered Nurse/RN will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level.
The Registered Nurse/RN is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated.
The Registered Nurse/RN is accountable to support CNO to ensure high quality, safe and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Qualifications
Education
Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelors or Masters degree)
Certifications
REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (eg, CPR):
ADULT ED:
? Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
? AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.Should be completed before the end of the orientation period
? AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role.Should be completed before the end of the orientation period. NOTE: PALS is not required in Adult ED at North Central Baptist Hospital.
? TNCC within 1 year of date of hire or transfer date into unit
? Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
